Kunzite: a recent discovery in gemology
Identified only in 1902 by American gemologist George Frederick Kunz, kunzite is a pink-to-lilac variety of spodumene. It displays a characteristic pleochroism: its hue changes slightly depending on the viewing angle, an optical effect linked to its crystal structure. Mainly sourced from Pakistan and Brazil, it is traditionally associated with unconditional love and compassion.
Labradorite: colorful fire trapped within the stone
Discovered in Labrador (Canada) in 1770, it owes its reputation to labradorescence: flashes of blue, green, or gold that seem to burst from within the stone depending on the angle of light. This phenomenon is due to the feldspar's internal lamellar structure, which diffracts light like a natural prism. Associated with intuition and protection.
Arfvedsonite: the little-known "blue tiger's eye"
This sodium amphibole, with shimmering bluish reflections, is sometimes nicknamed "blue tiger's eye" despite having a mineralogical composition completely different from true tiger's eye. Far rarer and less commercially available, it is associated with intuition and seeing beyond the apparent.

Unlike stones mined in massive quantities for centuries (quartz, agate), these three minerals come from more localized deposits or more recent discoveries in gemology, which naturally limits their large-scale distribution on the market.
